Problem and incident tickets come in handy when multiple users are reporting a problem or service outage. For example, when the server goes down, it is likely that several people will submit tickets.
We treat these tickets as incident reports.
Instead of dealing with each ticket individually, we associate them with a problem ticket and then resolve the problem ticket to resolve all trouble tickets at once.
1. Identify a service outage or issue that multiple people are submitting tickets for.
2. Convert other tickets to trouble tickets and link them to the problem ticket.
3. Solve the problem ticket.
